What is a Team?
Is a team identical to its members? Does a team persist despite the loss of some members and the addition of new members? Does a team persist despite a radical replacement of members such what happened in the tragic loss in the 1970 Marshall University Football team?

A team is a group of people united in the purpose of attaining a common objective or goal. Membership in the group can change from time to time if the goals of individual members no longer match those of the group, if an individual no longer meets the established requirements for membership in the group, or if requirements for membership change to the extent that a member or members no longer are qualified to belong to the group.

A team is a group of individuals with one thought, one goal, one, and one dream.
I disagree that a team has one thought. I think that would make for a team that lacks the abillity to find creative solutions to the challenges that arise in the pursuit of their goals. A team is able to function at a high level specifically because they have many thoughts. This diversity of their thinking is an asset and a means to success.

My answer is that a team is a group of any individuals coordinating their efforts to strive for the same goal. A team will persist despite the loss of a few members or even a radical change in membership.
My reason is that a team extends beyond the mere individual members. A team has a life of its own. It has it’s own goals and hopes, as well as its own rival enemies and fanatic supporters. A team can experience success as well as failure and is constantly adapting to it’s competition. The loss and addition of a few members will not change any of these behaviors. Not even a radical membership change should effect the functioning of a real team. Most of the players and coaches from the 1970 Marshall University Football team were tragically killed in a plain crash. However, instead of killing the “team” it actually strengthened it as it’s evolved form strove to achieve the same goals as before. A team is more than a group of self-motivated individuals, it is the cooperation and combining of skills among all it’s members to reach a common goal.
A team is a group of people either recruited or voluntarily organized in order to work together and achieve a common goal. My reason for believing this is because although individuals may have different aspirations, in order to be part of a team altogether, there must be cohesion to complete the common goal.
A team in my opinion is a group of men or women working together to achieve the same goal whether it be good or bad. They watch out for one another and leave no one behind.
I believe that a team is a group of individuals coming together for a commmon goals. The strengths and weaknesses of each individual will build the team if all work together. A team can learn to persist despite the loss of some members, as long as everyone on the team believes that they can. Sometimes members of the team begin to rely on one specific player for a specific play. It is the coaches and older players on the team’s responsibility to remind everyone to keep the goal in mind.
These are some great ideas about what makes a group a real team. I wish Coach Rod paid attention to this question. He should know that teams stick together at least until the final game. I understand leaving one job for another. But, I will never understand how a coach could turn his back on his team before a bowl game. I love sports, in part, because they teach kids sportsman like conduct. Coach Rod leaves WVU teaching those hard working guys a bitter lesson. He should have taken this opportunity to teach something about loyalty and teamwork! Instead, he teaches them about spite and greed. WVU deserves better.
A team is only designed for one purpose that is to gain sucess in order to achieve tasks. A team must work together and use each others strengths to be more effective. To be a team you are motivated to help one another in difficult situatuins as well as praising each other at the right time when a sucess is gained.A team that sticks together is a cohesive team!
A team is a group of individuals that are interested in the same basic goal. They don’t have to believe in all the same aspects of the goal, but they should want to learn from eachother and from their mistakes along the way. To be a successful team, you must be able to work with each other and push each other. By doing so, it makes each individual better, which ultimately makes the team better. I said a “successful” team because not every team has members in it that have the best interest of the “team.” Almost everyone has encountered a team like that, and it’s disapointing. A real team is where the members make sacrifices to only better as a whole.
A team is a group of people who unite under a common goal or principal. The members of a team must put all of their problems and differences aside and work together completely if they are to attain the goal, because if they do not, they will almost always fail. A team is a group of people who do not give up or give in, and are always concerned with completing the task at hand. Normally there is an individual who acts as the person who unites the team together and leads them. While a team can be something as simple as a sport team, a team of people who come together under the goal of winning the game, it can also be something as huge as the army, a group of people who unite under the goal of protecting their country or their people. A team requires devotion and unity, or else it becomes just people running around with no hope at winning.
A team is a group of people who work together towards a common goal. In sports, a team needs to be a family to succeed. On and off the court they are together and constantly keep the goal of winning in mind. In the military, teams are also present. A group of soldier work together to complete a mission, they have each other’s backs through thick and thin and no matter what happens, teammates will be there to encourage you to keep your head up. Team work, is often a huge part a groups success. Any successful sports program will tell you that it was the team chemistry that they had as a team that lead to their victorious success. When part of a team, you should feel as if that team is family. No matter what happens, the bests teams cannot be broken down, they will prove successful time and time again because of their dedication and respect towards each other. They will always work together towards their common goal, and if they don’t, they will not succeed as individuals or as a team.
When describing a team I can’t find any other definition but the one you see all the time; “There’s no I in team”. A team is a group of individuals that come together as one to achieve one goal. When you’re a part of a team it is very important that everyone gets along on the field/court/track as well as getting along off it. When a team has differences they are unable to get over between teammates this just makes it harder and harder to achieve the goal of winning. If one person is having a struggle in their life, the whole team should be behind them and supporting them through thick and thin.
Teammates are supposed to work together. If one feels they are the star or doesn’t like another teammate it just leads to failure. To have a good successful team everyone has to get along on and off the playing field, work together, and also be successful in other parts of their life whether it be school or life in general. When you have a good team, good things happen and when you have a bad thing, bad things happen. I have experienced both of these first hand and from my own experiences and from listening to others I feel that my definition of a team is a pretty accurate one.
A team is a group of people who work together, not as individuals, to achieve some kind of goal. Like in sports it takes everyone on the field to win the game, not just one single player. Ask any coach and they will tell you the key to success it team chemistry. A team is together not just for practice and games, but also during free time. A team will eat together, play together, and work together so they can be to the best of their ability, but only as a team. A team should almost be like a family that holds one another up and keeps high hopes. A team will never put another teammate down, instead they will bring them up. The military is another team also, they work together to keep our country safe, they live together, eat together, sleep in the same places, just as if they were a family. That is why they will never leave a fallen’ soldier behind. Once one person breaks the team then it becomes a bit harder to achieve your goals.
The special features of a team should be small, cohesive, works as a single unit and cooperates to reach a common goal, and fulfils a specified task, can be designed in addition.
